What Is A Palm Pilot And How Does It Work? A palm pilot is a handheld digital organizer. It is a small device with its own operating system, preinstalled software programs, and accessories. It can be used to send and receive e-mail, surf the Internet, play games, store data (phone numbers, schedules, etc.), and so many other things that can be done on a desktop or laptop. Palm pilots are even used to assist handicapped children in their education as well as people in the medical profession search for information they may otherwise not have immediate access to.
