What is Outlook Express? Microsoft® Windows Free Mail Client
Microsoft® Outlook Express

Microsoft® Outlook Express enables you to communicate with others on the Internet through electronic mailbox and newsgroups. With electronic mailboxs, or e-mail, you can exchange messages and files with other people on the Internet. Internet newsgroups consist of messages by individuals, organized by topic. You can take part by posting a message of your own, responding to a message, or sending an e-mail message directly to the author of a message. Outlook Express gives you the option of sending and receiving email, reading news and posting to newsgroups. Outlook Express is not one of ITC's recommended mail clients, so the directions below show how to configure Netscape for sending mail from Web page mailto: links, and for reading news and posting to newsgroups only.
